Barrett Baber releases new EP "Falling Again"
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette: Baber’s EP “Sounds Like a Summer Hit
A big congratulations to Haxton’s good friend and artist Barrett Baber on the recent release of his new EP Falling Again. In the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette last week, Barrett got a great review from Sean Clancy calling the new EP, “solid, mainstream country radio gold.”
We completely agree with Sean, and were more than happy to play a part in the process.
“Falling Again is a well-played, wonderfully produced package and Baber's confidence and talents are obvious,” - Sean Clancy, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
Barrett wanted the best recording and production available, and we were more than happy to share recording responsibilities with Blackbird Studios out of Nashville, TN.
Haxton Road Studios tracked acoustic guitars, pedal steel, vocals, and background vocals on some of the songs. Neil Greenhaw also played electric guitar on “6 Beers and a Dream.”
Production for the album was handled by producer/songwriter Kenny Lamb (Justin Timberlake, Jason Aldean, Ashley Monroe). Engineering for Haxton included Ryan Ceola. Engineer/mixer Chris Rowe (Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Martina McBride) mastered the album.
If you haven’t picked up the six-track EP off itunes, do yourself a favor here.
We have been fortunate enough to work with Barrett on “Razorback Game Day” and several other projects. Sean Clancy closed the article with the phrase “Hopefully Nashville is paying attention.”
We think Nashville, and the rest of America will be paying attention very soon.
